    Microsoft wanted to create a dedicated space within Abt Electronics where they could bring together Windows and XBox platforms. The space needed to be high-end, enticing and speak to gaming experiences. The space within Abt was somewhat enclosed and needed to provide an experience that would draw the shopper into the space. The shopper needed to be able to interact with multiple products and make a connection between Windows and XBox.

    A one of a kind space was created which reinvented the way Microsoft co-brands Windows and XBox. High end materials and lighting were used to draw the shopper to the space. Multiple screens allows for various experiences throughout the room. This interactive space brought multiple brands together and created a unique experience for gamers to demo and purchase top-end products.

  • Features

    LED lighting in both white and blue provided an attract feature for the space. High-end materials such as solid surfaces and brushed metal ceiling tiles were used. Large scale architectural elements spanned the room creating a "gamer" world feel. Ten different product demonstration stations allowed shoppers to try many of the top gaming rigs. Prevalent Microsoft branding tied it all together.

  • How/Process

    We developed the space by getting an understanding of the brands that would be present and the vision that Microsoft had for bringing Windows and XBox together. We gathered inspiration from gamers and the games they preferred. HoloLens was used to help envision the space and how different elements would look and function in the space.
